FIND YOUR DREAM HOME IN
Playa Flamenca

Playa Flamenca is a small seaside resort just south of Punta Prima and north of La Zenia on the southern Orihuela Costa Blanca. One of the major developments in Playa Flamenca is the La Florida urbanization.

Playa Flamenca was founded in 1972 by a group of Flemish investors who turned a deserted coastline and beaches into the popular, thriving holiday destination that it is today.

Airport

The easiest option is to get a transfer to Playa Flamenca airport from the nearest airport, Alicante airport, or Murcia airport in the south. Once at the airport you have a range of different options for airport transfer to Playa Flamenca, including private shuttle buses, taxis or car hire in Playa Flamenca.

What to do in Playa Flamenca

What is there to do in Playa Flamenca?

There is a range of water sports for which you can hire equipment at various locations along the beach to renting a boat for a day trip to Tabarca Island or simply a fishing trip to horse riding and walking. To fill the gap a little, you might want to do a little shopping. Playa Flamenca has a well-known Saturday market that is easily accessible from your holiday villa in Playa Flamenca or even Torrevieja to the Habanaras shopping centre. Because Playa Flamenca's weather and climate is so favorable, Playa Flamenca has become a popular tourist destination for sun worshipers who enjoy approximately 325 sunny days a year.

Torrevieja, a 10 minute drive away, is a beautiful Spanish town, with a marina, waterfront market, street entertainment, shops, numerous cafes, bistros, restaurants, bars and a beautiful church square. The beautiful palm tree-lined promenade and harbor promenade are the ideal place for an evening stroll. Activities in Playa Flamenca include tennis, water sports, horse riding and fishing.

On the local front, market day in Playa Flamenca is on a Saturday, where you can buy everything from clothes, bags, shoes, fruit and vegetables to freshly cooked chickens, paellas and tortillas. The market is located on the main road that runs through Playa Flamenca and is very well attended as it is of a very good size.

Commercial centers

The Flamenca Beach commercial center and Via Park are the main locations for bars, shops and restaurants. This lively area has a variety of restaurants serving cuisine from all corners of the world and there is also plenty of live entertainment in the many bars. For groceries we recommend the Mercadona supermarket.
