Mijas

FIND YOUR DREAM HOME IN
Mijas

Mijas Pueblo is the area in the mountains where many donkeys live. This is what the village is also somewhat known for. Mijas Playa is of course on the beach. In Mijas there is a very popular market just off the A7. Actually, Mijas is the most peaceful place on the Costa del Sol. Few large hotels and more smaller low-rise buildings and apartment complexes. From Mijas Pueblo there is almost always a view of the coastline of Morocco on sunny days. The beaches in Mijas Playa do not really have a promenade. There is a wooden walkway, where you can enjoy a cooling breeze from the sea, but do not experience the discomfort of walking through the sand. This bridge continues to Marbella, so you can certainly cycle or walk a nice bit. There are also many nice narrow streets with tapas bars and good Spanish wines.

Also known as “La Cala” by the locals, it is approximately 25 minutes drive from Malaga International Airport. Some of the neighboring areas that are within easy reach include the towns of Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Marbella and Puerto Banus.

Both children and the young at heart will find La Cala de Mijas to be a lovely place with loads of things to see and do. These include places such as Sea Life, Fuengirola Zoo and Tivoli World, all of which are just a few minutes from the village centre. There are also beaches, splash parks, diving centers, gymnasiums and all kinds of outdoor and indoor activities that are sure to satisfy everyone's needs and desires.
