La Zenia is located on the Costa Blanca South just south of the large city of Torrevieja. This part of the coast is known as the Orihuela Costa. La Zenia is a small but busy tourist resort on the beach. It has many restaurants, bars, shops and good amenities due to the large number of people who live here all year round.
There are many Irish bars including the famous Paddy's. Most bars show Sky Sports and it's easy to find a good English breakfast all day long in one of the many cafes and restaurants.

Where is La Zenia and how do you get there?
La Zenia is approximately a 40 minute drive south of Alicante airport. San Javier Murcia airport is only about 15-20 minutes south with cheap flights from Ryanair.
Access to La Zenia is good with the autoroute AP-7 (toll motorway) coming down from Alicante airport and heading south to Murcia San Javier airport. The N-332 also goes directly through La Zenia and this also goes from Alicante airport in the north all the way down to Murcia San Javier airport in the south. South of La Zenia is Cabo Roig, further south are Campoamor, Pilar de la Horadada, San Pedro del Pinatar and La Manga.
North of La Zenia is Playa Flamenca, Punta Prima, Residencia Los Altos and then Torrevieja. For accommodation there is the Grade II listed La Zenia Hotel right on the beach, a four star hotel.

La Zenia is a popular base from which you can play the many nearby golf courses if you want to take a break from the beaches.
The nearest is the Royal Campoamor golf club with Las Ramblas de Orihuela golf club and Villamartin golf club just a short drive away – approximately 20 minutes.
Beaches in La Zenia and things to do and see
The main attraction of La Zenia is clearly the beaches which are located in coves, but with the most beautiful sand and shallow water, ideal for families.
Cala Bosque and Cala Cerrada are the most famous and popular beaches of La Zenia. It almost goes without saying that they are very popular and very busy in the summer.
